The bike comes with front and rear disc brakes as well as dual-channel ABS. The dry weight of the motorcycle is 177 kg. The fuel tank on the bike can hold 14.5 litres of petrol.
The KTM RC 390 price is Rs. 4, 01,442 – ex-showroom.
The brand added quite a few Unique Selling Points to the 2023 iteration of the bike. They will be discussed at the end of the post.
For now, in the following sections, the USPs that have been carried forward will be enunciated.
Design
The overall design of the bike remains similar to the 2022 model. The bike retains its split-style LED headlight unit. The windscreen with those amazing-looking air deflectors is also part of the 2023 package. The fuel tank retains its muscular look and the seat continues to come in a split fashion. The side-slung exhaust manifold also retains its design language. KTM also claims that the overall quality and durability of the bike have been enhanced.
Updated electronics
The latest iteration of the bike gets updated electronics such as –
- Off-road and street modes for its traction control system.
- Lean-sensitive ABS has also received some fine-tuning.
Transmission
The bike continues to come with a six-speed racing-tuned and robust gearbox paired with a slipper clutch. The transmission system also works in tandem with the Quickshifter+ feature.
Hardware
The bike retains the hardware from the 2022 model. The USD front suspension and the preload-adjustable rear mono-shock are from WP APEX. The brakes are a 320mm rotor and a 280mm rotor for the front and back wheels respectively.
What’s new?
The bike now comes with new durable wire-spoke wheels. The rim size remains the same – 19 inches for the front and 17 inches for the rear.
The addition of wire-spoke wheels is a welcome change as alloys tend to crack when subjected to harsh terrains. The tires on the wheels remain the same dual-purpose Continental TKC70 units. However, due to the addition of the spoke-type wheels, the tires are not tubeless.
Why buy the 390 Adventure?
There are many reasons why one should buy Adventure 390. Some of those reasons are mentioned below.
One can enjoy a low two-wheeler loan interest rate for this bike. All leading lenders offer bespoke schemes for this bike.
- The bike comes with a wide aluminium handlebar. On the left, one has access to the navigation keys for the TFT display.
- The seat on the bike is meant for long rides thanks to its comfortable design.
- The footpegs are taken from the off-road bikes KTM produces for the global market. It means that one can ride for a long time while standing on the footpegs! Furthermore, one can even remove the rubber inserts before they take the bike off-road for better foot grip.
- The bike is equipped with a height-adjustable windshield. It means that the rider will be shielded from the wind when they are cruising down a highway.
- The bike comes with ride-by-wire technology.
- KTM has equipped the bike with Motorcycle Traction Control. MTC is a lean-sensitive traction control system. The system reduces the power delivery to the rear wheel when the bike leans too much. The power is quickly restored when the lean angle of the bike comes back to normal.
- The bike also gets switchable off-road ABS. When engaged this system turns off the ABS sensor for the rear wheel. The sensor for the front wheel reduces its sensitivity as well.
- The bike’s ABS is also lean-sensitive. It means that the sensitivity of the ABS sensors is reduced when the lean angle of the bike is too much.
- The bike is also equipped with KTM My Ride system. This feature allows the rider to connect their smartphone to the bike. The system can be used to make phone calls, listen to tunes and use the navigation app on the fly.
