How To Draw Boxing Gloves
Step 1
The pair of boxing gloves that we are going to draw in this first step of our tutorial on how to draw boxing gloves is hanging on the wall.
With this in mind, we can start drawing the first glove. The glove has a thick, rounded edge that extends past the wrist and points up to show the glove is hanging down.
Next use rounded lines for the left side of the glove that would go over the top of your hand if you were wearing it.
Finally, draw another curved line to the left for the part of the glove where the thumb would go. Finish with some details of the fold line and then move on to the next step.
Step 2
In this second part we will add the second glove to your boxing glove drawing. This will be a bit trickier as the way it’s mounted exposes the underside of the glove.
The reason it can be difficult is because this is where the gauntlet will be tied and therefore some detail of the cord can be seen.
Start by pulling the wrist of the second glove lower than that of the first glove. Next, create some cross shapes from two diagonal thin shapes that overlap.
There are three of these cross stitch shapes with a straight line underneath.
Then there will be a rounded line surrounding the points. Finally, draw another curved line for the thumb of the glove with a little more detail to complete this part.
Step 3
In this third step of our tutorial on how to draw boxing gloves, we will add more lines and details to the second boxing glove that you started in the previous step.
First, draw another curved line going down from the thumb of the glove. Then add lots of small folding details opposite this line.
After drawing, you can add the top of the line, which will represent the section of the glove that will cover the fingers.
We’ll finalize the structure of this glove in the next step, so we can continue when you’re ready.
Step 4
In this step we will refine the outline of the gloves for your boxing gloves by adding some extra details.
First, extend the curved line further inward for the finger area of the glove.
Once the outline of the glove is complete, you can refine both with more details from the line.
These details include more folds, as well as another line that delimits the inner circumference of the glove contours.
Then in the next part we just need to add some final details, so let’s move on!
In this fifth step of the guide we will draw the thread on which they will hang. You may want to use a ruler for this part as it will make your job a lot easier!
Before using the ruler, you can start drawing the arc at the top of the spike. For this arch, draw a small circle with loops and loose parts radiating from it.
Then you can use the ruler to draw two pieces of string going from each glove to the loop.
You can even add some of your own details and complements and maybe even draw a background!
Once you’ve drawn all of these details as they appear in the reference image, you’re ready for the final step of coloring your drawing!
Step 5

In this fifth step of the guide we will draw the thread on which they will hang. You may want to use a ruler for this part as it will make your job a lot easier!
